If you fly into any of the below airports, you will want to look into transportation from the airport to Hawksdene for our wedding getaway!
The Asheville Regional Airport is 102 miles, roughly 2 hours from Hawksdene. Enjoy the ride through the mountains of Western North Carolina on your way!
The Atlanta airport is roughly 2 hours and 40 minutes from Hawkesdene, 146 miles. According to the estate manager at Hawkesdene, this is the easiest commute to the wedding.
The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is 165 miles and roughly 3 hours from Hawksdene.
Get ready to enjoy some amazing scenery no matter where you are traveling from.
Beaufort, SC: Hawkesdene is located about 6 hours from Beaufort. You can take several different routes, the main two being Interstate or back roads. Dave and Janessa recommend the back roads - it's more stop and go, but you get to drive through all the small towns and there is less risk of getting stopped on I-26 when going through Columbia or I-40 through Asheville, which has a lot of construction. We take this trip often and this has been our experience.
South Florida: Depending on which part of South Florida, you're looking at between 10-11 hours of drive time. We recommend setting your GPS to Athens, GA first, to eliminate driving through Atlanta. Then adjusting GPS to Hawkesdene directly.
Alabama: You guys are looking at about a 4 hour drive. We haven't made this trip directly, so we're sorry we don't have any specific advice. Freda and Peggy will be your go to for tips on this trip!
Ohio: Just go south, it's a straight line! GPS shows a 6 hour drive. We also have not made this trip yet, but it looks pretty easy! Y'all got this!
